Pahrump Area Attractions The Pahrump area offers a wide range of attractions for many interests. The town itself has golf, fine dining and fun of casinos. The allure of Las Vegas is just a short hour drive away. For those wishing to get away from all the lights and glitter the Pahrump area offers a wealth of outdoor recreation and sightseeing. The area offers an interesting mix of both mountains and desert with plenty of camping and hiking. Pahrump is so close to the California border that many California attractions need to be included in things to see and do around Pahrump. Death Valley National Park is very close by and should not be missed for it's amazing terrain and geology.

A Short History of the Pahrump Area Pahrump was originally inhabited by the Shoshone. It was discovered and slowly inhabited by American settlers in the late 19th century.

Sitting side by side with the Charleston Peak RV Resort is the Pahrump Valley Winery. The winery is located in a handsome building surrounded by beautiful grounds and landscaping. Tours and wine tasting are offered as well as a gift shop and the Symphony's Restaurant for fine dining. The winery features wines from quality grapes grown in Nevada, California and Oregon, offering a fine selection of white, blush and red wines.
