The Western USA offers so much to see and do that one could spend a lifetime and still not see everything. The West is a land of vast landscapes and extremes with a diversity that is truly amazing. We highlight some of our favorite parks and destinations in the West. Much more to come!

Scenic Byways

This is a new section we are just adding and we think it will be a lot of fun as well as very informative. We are starting with our home state of Colorado and will expand to other Western states as we grow. Each byway will have a brief description and links to a much more expanded section about the area covering history, geology, sightseeing, hiking, attractions and more. We will be working hard on this section now so come back often to see what we have added.

Our National Parks offer an opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery of the West. Off seasons and winter are a great time to visit many of our National Parks, and you will get to witness them under totally different conditions of people and weather. Remember that the NPS offer seasonal passes and senior discount passes, both of which offer a considerable savings. If you have not done so, view the recent PBS special about our National Parks and their founders. A very good and interesting series by Ken Burns.
